Tanzania is the land of the kilimanjaro, the Selous Game Reserve and the fabulous island of Zanzibar. Located between Kenya and Mozambique, it is famous for its National Parks and unparalleled natural beauty. Dodoma is the capital, but the city of Dar es Salaam is more well known, as it is the cultural and financial centre of Tanzania, where over 5 million people live in peace and harmony. The original name was Tanyanika, which was later modified with the annexation of Zanzibar.
Other major cities are Arusha, Manza, Tanga and Iringa, but there is still plenty of room for wildlife parks. these are a major revenue source for the country, together with the mining industry and agriculture.
The history of Tanzania:
Tanzania was already inhabited by humanoids over 2 million years ago. In ancient times, there were contacts with the Egyptians and other civilizations. Several countries have passed through Tanzania through the centuries, including the Germans, the British and the Portugese. In more modern times, Tanzania has been an independent and stable state since the sixties.
Located on the East coast of Africa, Tanzania is renowned for its diverse wildlife, wild animals, extensive savannah plains, enormous lakes and emblematic mountains like the Kilimanjaro.
